The Richmond Braves were a triple-A team, and farm team for the Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball team. 2008, marked the final year that the Braves would call their home Richmond, Virginia. Growing up I attended my share of baseball games here to cheer on the Braves. Below is a photo gallery of the final visit for me to see this club.
This game was an extra innings affair that lasted into the 16th inning. The Norfolk Tides scored the winning runs in the top half of the inning to defeat the Braves, 6-4 The Braves that moved from Richmond are now located in Georgia closer to their Atlanta teammates.
