NCAA 10 Custom Teams

This year was a great year for the NCAA Football fans on the console gaming systems.  For the first time, you now have total control on your custom team.  You can pick the colors, design the logo and upload it to your team, design the jerseys and pants, and specify your players names and attributes that are on your roster.  The game is available now, and is sold on Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii formats.

Below you can see the teams that I have created.  I personally play online as the Courtland Cougars 1995 team, and the Houston Armadillos.  You can access these teams from inside your copy of NCAA10 while connected to the internet.  Please see your gaming manual for instructions.  You can search for the teams by name, or by my EA/Playstation gaming handle, "Medic56."  All teams are shown in the first choice "Home" uniforms, and are sorted by state.

Ohio Custom Teams

LaBrae Vikings - 2008

LaBrae Vikings
The LaBrae Vikings of Leavittsburg, Ohio.  This is a custom team for the game, but is an actual high school in Ohio.  I created the uniforms based off photos I took at a 2008 Football game against Newton Falls.  This team does not have an actual roster currently.  I will be making a 09-10 team once we attend a game this season and I will base the roster from the game's program.  Our nephew is a lineman for the Vikings, so we take extra pride in making sure this team is as accurate as possible.  Good Luck guys this season!

LaBrae Vikings - 2009

LaBrae Vikings
This is the 2009 Varsity Labrae Vikings.  It is the same school as above, but this year we are sporting different helmet decals, and different jerseys.  With the limitations in the game editor, i am stuck using the two colors on the jerseys even though there are actually three. I will see if there is a way I side step this.

North Carolina Custom Teams

Kannapolis Intimidators

Kannapolis Intimidators
The late Dale Earnhardt invested in a minor league baseball team to bring baseball to Kannapolis, North Carolina.  The team, was named the Kannapolis Intimidators.  With a cool design for their uniforms and an attention grabbing logo, they were born.  In 2005, the Intimidators did something Dale did 7x in Winston Cup, they won their league championship.  I have used that logo, I did remove the baseball, to create a football team for the Kannapolis crowd.  The team is complete with alternate uniforms, and a randomly generated roster.

South Carolina Custom Teams

Myrtle Beach Pelicans

Picture
The Pelicans of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  This team is a fictional team, with a random roster.  This team was made by request. Event though this team is fictional, the logo is used by a AAA baseball team in the beach area. The team has complete home and away uniforms, plus two alternative uniforms.

Texas Custom Teams

Houston Armadillos

Houston Armadillos
When I had learned that NCAA 10 allowed you to make custom teams, there was no question as to my city, my mascot, colors, and uniform design.  Growing up I was a fan of the Houston Oilers.  I loved their colors, the helmet logo of the oil derek, and the fact they were our home team being in Houston.  When we lived in Texas, we were in Alvin, just our of Houston's reach, so they were the home team for us.  I loved the armadillos that invaded our backyard, and became a fan of them too.  It was a match that was made a reality with this game.  The Houston Armadillos is the team that I use online, and came out very well.  When you see them, you can see their influence from the Houston Oiler team.  Enjoy the Mighty Armadillos!

Sugarland Oilers

Sugarland Oilers
As mentioned above, I was an Oiler fan back in the day.  To make the team a school or a semi-pro team was a great way to make them as a custom team in NCAA 10.  This team to my knowledge is fictional.  I do not know of a team called the Sugarland Oilers.  The uniforms are very true to the Houston Oilers look.  The roster is totally fictional, and was developed by the game on a random basis.  Enjoy the Oilers.

Alvin Wranglers

Alvin Wranglers
The Wranglers of Alvin, Texas.  This team is a fictional team, with a random roster.  This team was made by request. Event though this team is fictional, the logo is used by a AAA baseball team in the lonestar state. The team has complete home and away uniforms, plus two alternative uniforms.

Round Rock Express

Round Rock Express
The Round Rock Express is another team that was requested, and is in the state of Texas.  The logos are based off those of the baseball team of the same name and colors.  The roster is randomly generated.  This is another complete team with home and away uniforms, complimented by two alternate uniforms

Austin RoughRiders

Austin RoughRiders
The RoughRider name and logo was again used from the AAA baseball of the same name.  This was a special request from one of the former ball players from the team.  We relocated the team in Austin for the NCAA 10 game.  The team is complete with home, away, and alternate uniforms.  The roster included with the team is a random selection.

Corpus Christi Clippers

CC Clippers
The Corpus Christi Clippers was a request from a family member who lives in the Corpus Christi area.  The name and logo are recreated from a team down in southern Texas.  There is also a restaurant on the waterfront using a samiliar name.  The team does come with home, away, and alternative uniforms.  Since the team is fictional, a fictional roster is included.

Virginia Custom Teams

Courtland Cougars

Courtland Cougars
The Courtland Cougars of Spotsylvania, Va.  This team was my varsity high school football team from the 1995-1996 school year; my junior year.  The uniforms are just about 100%.  This was one of the two years that Courtland did not have the traditional blue helmets and gray paws that we have become to be known for.  I worked with Coach Poates during the summer work outs to design the helmet decals that we used. It was a great way for the artist in me to break into art in college.  This team when downloaded has a complete roster of starters and most subs from that season.  Enjoy the 1995-1996 Courtland Cougars--RAW MEAT!!

Courtland Cougars (JV)

Retro Courtland Cougars
This team is labeled as the JV team for the Courtland Cougars.  However, that was only so I could have two different Courtland teams on the console.  This team is sporting the uniforms that some of the older alumni will remember as the original varsity with award winning coach Ken Brown.  These uniforms also closely resemble the JV uniforms we had before moving to varisty to the all blue and silver helmets in the team above.  These uniforms were the traditional blue and silver of Courtland, with the notable cougar paw on the helmets.  This team comes with a randomly generated roster.  Also included are alternative home and away uniforms.

Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets

RMC Yellow Jackets
The Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va.  Being a 2001 alumn, this team had to be made.  When I attended R-MC we had helmets that had a logo on the sides.  Currently, the team only has stripes on their gear.  Both helmets are included with this team.  The uniforms again were made to be extremely accurate.  The roster included is not accurate, and was generated by the game.  Enjoy lil'ole RMC, GO JACKETS!

Chancellor Chargers

Chancellor Chargers
The Chancellor Chargers of Chancellor High School in Spotylvania County, Va.  Chancellor is known as one of the rivals to the Courtland Cougars.  The uniforms are closely modeled after the 2007-2008 uniforms of the varisty Chargers.  This team does not have an accurate roster as it was randomly generated.  This team does come with complete home/away uniforms, along with home/away alternatives.

Spotsylvania Knights

Spotsylvania Knights
This uniform depicts the Knights of Spotsylvania High School, here in Spotsylvania County, Va.  The uniforms have changed slightly over the years.  When I played at Courtland, Spotsy had the knight on horseback on the helmets, with the red, white, and blue school colors.  These uniforms are accurate for the 1995-1996 school year season, and probably a few before and after.  The roster for this team is randomly generated by the game, and is in no way accurate.  The team does include alternative uniforms.

Massaponax Panthers

Massaponax Panthers
The Massaponax Panthers of Spotsylvania, Va.  A school that opened in 1998 soon showed that it was going to a force to be dealt with on the football field.  Uniforms are done as closely as possible with the limitations on the jerseys.  As soon as I update the decal on the helmets I will.  Roster is randomly generated by the game.  Team does have alternative uniforms as well.

James Monroe Yellow Jackets

Picture
The Yellow Jackets of James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, Va.  Again, as many of the local schools, these uniforms are modeled after the late '90s football seasons.  The Yellow Jackets were the Va State High School Championshions this past season for 2008.  Good luck to them in 2009.  The roster is generated, and the team does include alternative uniforms for home and away.

Spotsylvania Medics

Spotsylvania Medics
I was requested to make the fire and rescue rivalry in the county here in Spotsylvania.  I have been a member of both organizations, and thought this was a great idea.  I hope other members of the county will download these and begin their own personal rivalries.  This uniform is for the Medics of Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue.  The uniform comes with all four uniforms, and a great looking home field.  The colors were taken right off the ambulances, white, and yellow and blue.

Chancellor Fire

Chancellor Fire
This team for the Chancellor Fire, is designed for Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue, located here in Spotsylvania County, Va.  This team was made as part of a request with the team above.  These two organizations provide our county with the fire and rescue services during volunteer hours.  This team comes with all four uniforms, and the roster was a generated at random by the game.  The colors are taken right off their new ambulance and fire trucks.
